What’s the Challenge?
Who: Open to students in Grades 9–12 across Hampton Roads and Virginia’s Eastern Shore
What: Spend a day living without single-use plastics, document your experience, and create an inspiring 1-2 minute video.
Why: Educate your peers, motivate your community, and show how small actions can lead to big changes!
Why Participate?
Make a Difference: Spread awareness about reducing single-use plastics.
Showcase Your Work: All participating videos will be shared on social media for the community to see.
Win Big: Winning videos will be featured at the Virginia Marine Debris Summit in March. Plus, winners will take home cash prizes and eco-friendly goodies!
How to Enter
Spend a full day without using any single-use plastics.
Capture your day through video, focusing on your experiences, challenges, and creative solutions.
Compile your footage into a 1-2 minute video that’s educational, creative, and inspiring.
